WCMX (Wheelchair Motocross) is a high-energy adaptive sport where riders perform tricks in skateparks, similar to BMX or skateboarding. During Urban Spring Festival 2026, wheelchair sports are actively integrated into the program. In collaboration with the Wheelchair Skills Team, Scootieclub Tegelen and Skatepark ROOT5, an accessible and inspiring program is created where participants can experience what wheelchair skills and adaptive sports are all about.
Throughout the day, the focus is on introduction and participation. Visitors can explore a custom-built wheelchair skills circuit inside the venue, designed with various obstacles and exercises that challenge balance, control and movement.
The sessions are guided by experienced coaches from the Wheelchair Skills Team, including athletes with international experience. The team works with two experienced adaptive sports athletes who provide workshops and demonstrations, bringing both technical knowledge and personal stories to the program.
