As MC and curator, Dookie brings over two decades of experience within Hip Hop culture as both an artist and entrepreneur, connecting the next generation with the scene and the audience.

For over a year, Nieuwe Helden Next Level and Dookie have joined forces around youth culture, Hip Hop, and talent development. Together with Street Culture Venlo, they curate the musical program for Urban Spring Festival on Saturday 30 May, giving emerging Rap and Hip Hop talent from Limburg a platform to showcase themselves.
The stage title L on Stage is inspired by the upcoming album release of the same name — a project deeply connected to Limburg’s new wave of urban talent and creative collaboration.
Proud to present: as closing act, EllMatic and Astro — coming from the legendary Het VerZet generation — will perform tracks from their brand-new EP Initial Reaction live, a release that is already receiving strong early reactions within the underground scene.
The ROOT5 PODIUM is located outdoors on the festival grounds, framed by the chill & play meadow, food trucks, the BBQ and the BMX arena — a great setting for an urban spring vibe. From 20:00 hrs onwards, we continue with an informal afterparty with DJ’s in the dance area of Veilinghal 7.
UNIT 7 SOUND SYSTEM

Right in the heart of Veilinghal 7, UNIT 7 SOUND SYSTEM brings together movement, music and community during the Saturday program of Urban Spring Festival 2026.
Positioned on a platform in the middle of the hall, the DJ booth fuels the energy of the HYROX-inspired fitness challenge while setting the vibe for the entire venue. From athletes and participants to visitors hanging out across the space — everyone moves together to a flow of afro, house, latin, urban and rave-inspired sounds.
Curated by Grenswerk and Zone 077, UNIT 7 SOUND SYSTEM blends club culture with urban sports and festival atmosphere, creating a raw indoor experience where rhythm, movement and community collide.
UNIT 7 – LINE-UP
14:00 — 16:00 🎧 MIKA
MIKA opens the day with an uplifting mix of afro-house, amapiano, latin grooves and urban club sounds. Known for creating warm, rhythmic sets with a strong focus on vibe and movement, she brings the perfect energy to kick off UNIT 7 SOUND SYSTEM.
16:00 — 18:00 🎧 LUNA SAVIC
Venlo-based DJ Luna Savic represents a new generation of local nightlife talent. Blending house, tech-house and latin-inspired club sounds, her sets combine groove, energy and a strong connection with the dancefloor and urban community.
18:00 — 20:00 🎧 ANKI
ANKI closes the program with a more intense and underground sound, moving between techno, rave and high-energy club music. Expect driving rhythms, warehouse influences and a powerful finale that pushes the atmosphere deeper into the evening.
The programme connects naturally to the rest of the day, filled with clinics, jams and sessions by upcoming talent from the Netherlands and the cross-border region. Throughout the afternoon, the MC keeps you up to date on highlights and developments across the festival grounds, connecting the stage to everything happening around it. We also bring selected winners from local contests onto the stage — including the winners of the strongest collaboration from the Beatmaking Contest — giving them their moment in the spotlight.
From 20:00 hrs onwards, we continue with an informal afterparty with DJ’s in the dance area of Veilinghal 7.
