Raw energy, fresh talent, and heavy Hip Hop vibes — this stage brings together the next generation of Limburg’s urban artists alongside established names who know exactly how to move a crowd. Expect sharp lyricism, live energy, underground culture, and explosive performances throughout the day.
As MC and curator, Dookie brings over two decades of experience within Hip Hop culture as both an artist and entrepreneur, connecting the next generation with the scene and the audience. And when the new generation has set the tone, Ella John & Grizzle will close out the night in explosive fashion.

For over a year, Nieuwe Helden Next Level and Dookie have joined forces around youth culture, Hip Hop, and talent development. Together with Street Culture Venlo, they curate the musical program for Urban Spring Festival on Saturday 30 May, giving emerging Rap and Hip Hop talent from Limburg a platform to showcase themselves.
The stage title L on Stage is inspired by the upcoming album release of the same name — a project deeply connected to Limburg’s new wave of urban talent and creative collaboration.
The stage is located outdoors on the festival grounds, framed by the chill & play meadow, food trucks, the BBQ and the BMX arena — a great setting for an urban spring vibe. From 20:00 hrs onwards, we continue with an informal afterparty with DJ’s in the dance area of Veilinghal 7.
The programme connects naturally to the rest of the day, filled with clinics, jams and sessions by upcoming talent from the Netherlands and the cross-border region. Throughout the afternoon, the MC keeps you up to date on highlights and developments across the festival grounds, connecting the stage to everything happening around it. We also bring selected winners from local contests onto the stage — including the winners of the strongest collaboration from the Beatmaking Contest — giving them their moment in the spotlight.
